Our Projects
ANRO works with rural public schools in the Sidama Region of Ethiopia to help children learn in safe and appropriate conditions. We help schools address specific problems that directly affect children's daily lives and education.
Each school has different needs. In one school, children may need access to water. In another, there may not be enough classrooms, desks, or textbooks. Some schools need repairs to existing buildings, electricity, or adequate sanitation facilities. This is why every ANRO project is developed individually — based on the actual situation and needs of each school.
More than 7,400 children
The schools currently included in ANRO's projects serve more than 7,400 children.
Behind this number are thousands of children who need the basic conditions for learning — water, safe classrooms, electricity, toilets, school furniture, and learning materials.
Together, we can help create better conditions for their education and more opportunities for their future.
Every child should have the opportunity to learn in a safe and supportive environment
Behind every number on this page are children who come to school every day and teachers who continue their work even in difficult conditions and with limited essential resources.
A safe classroom, water at school, a functioning toilet, electricity, a desk, or a textbook may seem like basic necessities. Yet for many rural schools, these remain urgent needs.
ANRO was created to help turn the specific needs of schools into practical and achievable projects.
Every contribution helps address a specific problem at a specific school — bringing water to the school, restoring a classroom, providing electricity, or creating the conditions children need to learn.
